Asata Kamara, NP
Nurse practitioner Asata Kamara (pronounced “Asa ta / Kama r ah”) is committed to the health of her patients. She started practicing in 2014 with clinical interest in diabetes, high blood pressure, Hyperlipidemia, weight loss, preventive medicine, hormone screening and prostate health. Asata treats ages 13 and above.
Asata earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA, and Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner graduate degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Al. Asata is an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (AGNP). She has served as a clinical preceptor for hundreds of students over the years.
Asata is a member of the Liberian Medical Mission and the Liberian Nurses Association. Asata is fluent in Soussou, Mandinka, and Mano.
On a personal note, Asata enjoys traveling, volunteering, community service, charity work, sports, hiking, exercising, cooking, and gardening. She also likes creative arts including writing, music, painting, and crafts.
