Crystal Pouncil, NP

As a trusted Family Nurse Practitioner, Crystal Tolbert Pouncil (Poun-sil) values the ongoing relationships she builds with each of her patients as they work together toward improved health. Although Crystal is originally from Helena, Alabama, she made Houston her home four years before joining Village Medical and has enjoyed all that the area has to offer.

Crystal completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama, and her Master of Nursing (MSN) at Troy University in Alabama. Crystal worked as a travel nurse for three years, where she specialized in cardiac care and medical surgical nursing. She became a Nurse Practitioner specializing in family practice two and a half years before becoming part of Village Medical. Her areas of clinical interest include cardiac care and pediatrics.

Crystal is married to Cortez Pouncil, a lawyer at Pouncil Law Firm. Together they have four children: Carmen, Anneke, Zoie and Cortez, Jr. Her family loves creating music together, spending time at the pool, playing soccer and fishing. In addition to enjoying time with her family, Crystal likes to read books, travel and sing karaoke.
