Bio
Idella Simmons, MD, is dedicated to the health and well-being of her patients. She has been in practice since 1999 and has worked in private practice since 2001 before joining Village Medical. Her areas of clinical interest include weight management and wellness. She is board-certified in obesity medicine and family medicine.
Dr. Simmons earned her undergraduate degree at Ball State University in Muncie, IN where she was a pre-med major. She attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. She completed her residency at Florida Hospital with a focus in family medicine. Dr. Simmons is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Obesity Medical Association (OMA).
When she’s not treating her patients, Dr. Simmons enjoys spending time with her family, including her daughter. She likes relaxing at the beach, reading and interior design.
