About
Bio
Juan Davila (pronounced “Kooh ahn / Da vee la”), MD, has been caring for the health and wellbeing of patients since 2015. He has clinical interest in preventive care and weight management as well as the management of diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and chronic disease.
Dr. Davila earned a bachelor’s in biology from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX. He earned a doctor of medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He completed the CHRISTUS Spohn/Texas A&M Family Medicine Residency Program in Corpus Christi, TX. Dr. Davila is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM). He also has basic life support (BLS) certification. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the Texas Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP), the American Medical Association (AMA), the Texas Medical Association (TMA), and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). Besides English, he is fluent in Spanish.
On a personal note, Dr. Davila is married with two children. When he isn’t with patients, he enjoys hiking and exploring nature with his family. He also enjoys collecting retro video games, exercising and participating in fitness competitions.
