Bio
Dr. Techsin Ty grew up and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High in Long Beach, California. He was recruited after residency to Kokomo by Howard community hospital at the time when Howard County was underserved in primary care. He was meant to move on after serving out his contractual obligation with the hospital. But his connection with his patients keeps him here long past his agreed upon 5-year commitment.
Dr. Ty enjoys every aspect of internal medicine. His goal is to help his patients live healthy, active and stay out of the hospital as long as possible. With the population now living longer, the challenge for those goals is even greater.
Dr. Ty received his undergraduate degree from California State University, in Fresno and attended medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel University College of Medicine). He completed his residency in Internal medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ty is a member of the American College of Physicians. He was former chief of staff at the department of medicine at Howard Regional Hospital and, later, at Howard Community Hospital. He is married with two grown daughters and enjoys spending time with his family and traveling with them whenever possible.
