Bio
Uma Gopakumar (pronounced “OO-ma GO-pah-KOO-mahr”) is a nurse practitioner focused on Family Medicine (without Obstetrics). She began practicing in 2013, and has clinical interests in diabetes, cardiology and hypertension.
Uma earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, where she went on to receive a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Practice from Arizona State University. Uma is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Sigma Theta Tau, and is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). She has served as a subject matter expert at the Colorado Tech University, as well as an Associate Professor.
In her free time, Uma likes to read and spend time with her family, and has set her sights on traveling the world. She is fluent in Hindi, Malayalam and Punjabi.
