Physician Assistant Qingwei Liu (pronounced “Ching-way Lee-oo”), who goes by the first name “Wayne,” has been practicing since 2018. His focus is family medicine, and his clinical interests are providing long-term, comprehensive care to patients, especially in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases.
Wayne is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Physics at Peking University in Beijing, China, and completed his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. He also earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Before he began his medical career, Wayne worked as a medical imaging research scientist and has authored more than 20 academic journal publications. In addition to English, he speaks fluent Mandarin.
On a personal note, he enjoys spending time with his son, playing soccer and basketball, and gardening.
