Bio
Dr. Clyde Watkins Jr. (Watt-kins) is committed to providing quality medical care. He started practicing in 1992 with medical interest in diabetes, hypertension and colon cancer screening. He treats adults, performing well woman exams, adult physical exams and Medicare annual wellness visits. Dr. Watkins likes to connect personally with his patients. He believes listening to his patients is an important aspect of medical care.
Dr. Watkins earned his undergraduate degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and attended medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. He then completed the J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency Program at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Watkins is a member of the American College of Physicians Medical Association of Georgia and the American College of Physicians, Georgia Chapter where he serves as treasurer and chairman of the health and public policy committee.
When he’s not helping his patients, Dr. Watkins enjoys watching baseball and college football, reading and fishing. Active in his community, Dr. Watkins is a former board member and currently on the board of advisors for Open Hand Atlanta. He is a member of the Dekalb County Board of Health and a 2006 graduate of Leadership Atlanta.
