Cuong John Doan, MD

Cuong "John" Doan, MD, is a Family Practice physician who began practicing in 2006. His clinical interests are in geriatrics, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and infections.

Dr. Doan completed his undergraduate studies at Georgia Tech where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology, and at Georgia State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. He attended the Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University for his MD and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, Chesterfield Family Practice Residency. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and is a member of the American Association of Family Practice (AAFP).

Dr. Doan is fluent in Vietnamese and Spanish, which allows him to serve a diverse patient population.

Dr. Doan is also a musician and enjoys playing the piano, guitar, and singing. He is a fan of soccer, baseball, and ice hockey, and loves to play board games and Pokemon. He enjoys international foods and values authenticity in cooking. Dr. Doan also loves to travel, especially to national parks, and enjoys scuba diving and writing. His wife is an Internist who specializes in Hospital medicine and Medical Aesthetics, and their children share their hobbies of music, travel, and food.
