Bio
Physician Assistant Emma Richardson (she/her/hers pronouns) is profoundly dedicated to her patients’ well-being. She has a fierce passion for social justice and health care equity, particularly focusing on queer and gender-affirming care. Her clinical interests also include mental health, gynecology, musculoskeletal medicine, as well as primary care throughout the lifespan.
Emma earned her undergraduate degree in Italian studies and Masters in Elementary Education from Brown University in Providence, RI. She completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO in 2017. She completed specialty transgender-care focused training at Lyons-Martin Health Services in San Francisco, and now teaches transgender care to emerging physician assistant students at the University of Colorado. She is a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Colorado Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA).
She enjoys time with her family, including a spouse and two children. She plays competitive Ultimate frisbee, loves the outdoors, and is very engaged in the Northern Colorado community. She is also fluent in Italian and speaks conversational Spanish.
