Bio
Dr. Gopal Rao (pronounced “RHOW GOW-pahl”) has been practicing since 2003. He is focused on General Internal medicine and has clinical interests in diabetes and obesity.
Dr. Rao completed his undergraduate study at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign where he earned an English degree. He attended medical school in the West Indies, at the Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados, and completed his internal medicine residency at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, IL. He has been the recipient of the Pelican Award (The Legacy of Caring Award) at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
Dr. Rao is married with a daughter who is interested in musical theater. Together, they love going to Disneyworld every year. He also enjoys tennis, world travel and DIY projects.
