Dr. Jay Veliyath (pronounced “JAY veh-LEE-yath”) is focused on internal medicine (ambulatory only) and has clinical interests in diabetes, hypertension, nutrition and preventive care. She began practicing in 1991.
Dr. Veliyath completed undergraduate study at University of Kerala, in India, medical school at Trivandrum Medical College, in Kerala, India, and she completed her residency at Grant Hospital, in Chicago. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP).
Besides English, she is fluent in Malayalam.
Dr. Veliyath’s hobbies include travel, cooking and reading; she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren.
