Bio
Since 1996, Joe Ventimiglia (pronounced J oh / Vent uh mill yuh), MD, has been caring for the health and well-being of infants, children, teens and adults. Dr. Ventimiglia's areas of clinical interests encompass the entire spectrum of primary care. He also has experience and expertise in functional medicine, geriatrics, hospice and palliative medicine.
Dr. Ventimiglia earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. He attended medical school at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC and completed a doctorate in the department of Pathology studying tumor immunology. He then completed his family practice residency at University of Tennessee and Memphis Baptist Health Sciences Center in Memphis, TN. Dr. Ventimiglia has a passion for health care system design and optimization and public policy advocacy in primary care.
Dr. Ventimiglia is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP); the Texas Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP); and the Dallas County Medical Society (DCMS), where he serves on the Dallas County Medical Society Legislative Affairs Committee.
On a personal note, Dr. Ventimiglia enjoys stargazing, spending time with his wife and family, exercising, and participating in his church.
