Bio
Dr. Julio Molina is devoted to his patients’ health and wellbeing. He started practicing in 1972 in Nicaragua and later established a practice in Richmond, TX in 1988. His area of specialty and medical interest are in every aspect of adult health maintenance and diabetes prevention and management. Dr. Molina treats adolescents and adults. Along with regular health maintenance he also performs annual physical exams and Medicare annual wellness visits. Dr. Molina is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Molina attended medical school in his home country of Nicaragua, Central America. He graduated with a medical degree in general medicine and general surgery. During a coup on the government, Dr. Molina arrived in the US with political asylum in 1979. He worked at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston as a surgical assistant until he was accepted for residency in 1985. He completed the Residency Program at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School branch in Wichita Falls, Texas. He specialized in family practice with sub-specialties in OB/GYN, newborn care, geriatric care and dermatology. He graduated his residency in June of 1988 and joined an established practice located in Richmond, Texas. Dr. Molina later purchased the practice in 1991 and has been in the same location since 1988.
When he’s not helping his patients, Dr. Molina enjoys photography, traveling, reading and target shooting for sport. He is so thankful for his family and wife. Dr. Molina has been blessed with three successful children and five beautiful grandchildren. He looks forward to the next chapters of his life with his family along with his work with patients at Village Medical.
