Nurse practitioner Lissy Alias is committed to the health of her patients. She started practicing in 2018. Her areas of clinical interest include preventive medicine, women’s health and gynecology, asthma, COPD, diabetes and allergies. She also has an interest in heart disease, blood pressure and cholesterol management, musculoskeletal diseases, STD treatment and the management of anxiety and depression. Lissy treats children, teens and adults. Lissy earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University. She completed her family nurse practitioner training at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner. Lissy is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Houston Area Nurse Practitioners (HANP), the Indian American Nurses Association of Greater Houston (IANAGH) and the National Association of Indian Nurses of America (NAINA). In addition to English, she is fluent in Hindi, Malayalam, Arabic and Kannada. On a personal note, Lissy enjoys time with her spouse and children as well as her dog.
