Maki Sato, MD
Dr. Maki Sato (pronounced “Mah-kee Sah-toe”) has been practicing since 2015, with a focus in family medicine. Her areas of clinical interest include lifestyle medicine, integrative medicine, diabetes, reproductive health care and women's health. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Sato double-majored and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Anthropology and Biology, and attended Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, NY, with a focus on family and social medicine.
On a personal note, she is a certified yoga instructor, has a passion for preventative health, encourages mindfulness meditation, and promotes a holistic approach in caring for individuals. She understands, “true wellness comes from healing and integrating mind, body, and spirit,” and also believes, “a physician has an important role in advocating for social justice.”
Dr. Sato enjoys pottery and photography, traveling and exploring new places and meeting new people. She likes to cook, spend time with her family and go for nature walks....
