Margaret Dowden, FNP-BC, DNP, has been a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner since 2007, with a special interest in senior health.
Margaret received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She then went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Pace University in New York. She also holds a postgraduate degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where she became a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is a proud member of the Georgia Nurses Association.
Margaret's care philosophy is simple but powerful: she wants her patients to feel better after interacting with her than they did before. This goal drives her approach to care and fuels her dedication to her patients' wellbeing.
When she's not working, Margaret loves to be in nature. Hiking and long walks are her favorite ways to enjoy the outdoors. She also loves taking day trips and traveling both internationally and within the country with her family and friends. In her downtime, she enjoys reading, listening to jazz music, and volunteering at her local church.
