Bio
Mark Edelman (pronounced “Mark / Ed l man ”), MD, has been caring for the health and wellbeing of patients since 1995. He has a clinical interest in plastic surgery and management of acute and chronic wounds.
Dr. Edelman earned a bachelor’s in zoology from The University of Texas at Austin. He earned a doctor of medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He completed a residency in general surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and a residency in plastic surgery at the SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Edelman is board certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPA) and The American Board of Surgery (ABS). Dr. Edelman is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the Harris County Medical Society (HCMS), and the Texas Medical Association (TMA). Dr. Edelman has previous experience as a medical director for outpatient and inpatient wound care programs. He has basic life support certification (BLS) as well as advanced cardiovascular life support certification (ACLS).
On a personal note, Dr. Edelman is married with two children. His wife also works for Village Medical. When he isn’t with patients, Dr. Edelman enjoys travel and photography. He has won awards for his landscape photography.
