Mark Goldberg, MD

Dr Mark Goldberg (pronounced "MARK GOLD-burg") has been practicing medicine since 1989, with a focus on Internal Medicine, and a clinical interest in Preventative Medicine.

Dr Goldberg received his Medical Doctor degree from Universidad CETEC in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He completed his medical studies at the University of Maryland School of Medicine hospitals. He then completed a three-year residency at SUNY Stony Brook's Family Practice residency in Oceanside, NY. He was named and served as Chief Resident for his final year of training. Upon completing his residency, Dr Goldberg was an assistant clinical instructor of Family Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He taught Advanced Cardiac Life Support as a certified instructor for many years throughout the East Coast.

He speaks Spanish fluently.

He has been the medical director for the Velda Rose Medical Center Family Practice from 1989-2022. Dr Goldberg co-founded and remained Senior Vice President of a successful large local primary care organization, Commonwealth Primary Care ACO. A group of physicians, focusing on improving quality of care, while lowering the cost of care, in line with his passion for preventing adverse medical events in his patient population. In fact, his practice's heart attack and stroke rates have been among the lowest in Maricopa County.

In addition to spending time with his children and grandchildren, Dr Goldberg loves to ski, golf, and stay active. He is an avid sports fan, appreciates live music, and loves terrific east coast food.
