Nicole Karmo, MD, DABFM

Nicole Karmo, MD, DABFM is a family medicine specialist who started practicing in 2025. Her focus is on quality healthcare for patients of all ages and their families. She has a special interest in obesity medicine, lifestyle medicine, preventative medicine, women’s health, mental health, and evidence-based management of chronic conditions.

Dr. Karmo earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Saint Kitts and Nevis. Dr. Karmo completed her family medicine residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians.

In her free time, Dr. Karmo enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her husband and three young children. She loves being outdoors, snowboarding, and painting. She also enjoys training medical students and participating in community and global health initiatives.
