Pedro Miguel Alvarez Fernandez, FNP-BC (he/him), is a Family Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about caring for the whole family. His clinical career began in 1997, and over the years he has built a practice rooted in trust and personal connection. His clinical interests include chronic disease management, whole-family care, new diagnoses, and urgent or emergent conditions.
Pedro earned his Medical Degree from the University of Havana in 1997 and completed his Family Medicine residency there in 2001. He then spent 10 years as an emergency room physician in Spain, serving with SERMAS, SMS, and SESV. After moving to the United States, he completed a Bachelor's in Nursing in Puerto Rico and earned his Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Miami Regional University in 2023. He is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Outside of work, Pedro enjoys reading, football, swimming, water polo, and soccer.
