Bio
Shilpa Urs (pronounced “Shil pa / Ers”), MD, is dedicated to her patients’ well-being. She started practicing in 2018 with clinical interest in mental health, Obesity and skin care. Dr. Urs treats adults.
Dr. Urs earned her undergraduate degree in medicine and surgery in India at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College in Bengaluru. She completed her residency in family medicine at Pontiac General Hospital in Pontiac, MI. Dr. Urs also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from Rutgers School of Public health. She is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). She is fluent in Hindi and Kannada.
On a personal note, Dr. Urs is married with two sons. She and her family enjoy tennis and gardening. Dr. Urs also enjoys yoga and baking.
