Sunitha Ayyar, MD, FACP

Sunitha Ayyar, MD FACP, (pronounced Soo nee thuh / Eye yer) is an Internal Medicine Primary Care Physician specializing in adult patient care, including adult physical exams and Medicare annual wellness visits.  She has been practicing since 2012.  Her areas of interest include diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity management, cardiac disease and pulmonary disease.

Dr. Ayyar earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas.  She then attended medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.  She completed residency at the University of Arizona - South Campus in Tucson, Arizona.  She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

In addition to English, she speaks fluent Spanish.  On a personal note, Dr. Ayyar enjoys cycling, dance fitness, and swimming.
