Bio
Suryadutt Venkat, MD, MPH (Veh-n-cut) is committed to providing exceptional medical care to all his patients. He firmly believes that primary care physicians form the backbone of a successful, and cost-effective healthcare system. He strives to achieve good patient outcomes by listening to his patients, shared decision making, and promoting health and well-being. As a physician specializing in family medicine, he enjoys taking care of patients of all ages and the whole family. Dr. Venkat completed medical school at Bangalore University in India.
He completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (UMDNJ-RWJMS) specializing in Family Medicine. He also completed his fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Hawaii. Dr. Venkat is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). He received a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts. He has won several awards for excellence in teaching, professionalism, and providing outstanding medical care to his patients. He has over 18 years of experience as a primary care physician.
On a personal note, Dr. Venkat enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf, and doing DIY projects at home.
