Vilma Benavides, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Vilma Benavides is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. She began practicing as a FNP in 2024 and specializes in preventive care, chronic disease management, women’s health, behavioral health, geriatric care, and acute care. Vilma is particularly passionate about promoting health equity and integrating mental health services into primary care, ensuring her patients receive holistic care tailored to their unique needs.

Vilma’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from The University of Texas at Arlington, following her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing. Her certifications through The American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center demonstrate her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care.

As a fluent Spanish speaker and over 11 years of nursing experience, Vilma works closely with diverse patient populations, making healthcare accessible to those in need. She is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Association (ANA), San Antonio Nurses in Advanced Practice (SANAP), and Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP).

Outside of the clinic, Vilma enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Texas, especially its rivers and lakes. She loves spending time with her family and two fur babies, gardening, hiking, and working on DIY projects.
