Bio
Jennifer Fischer, PA-C, has been practicing Family Medicine since 1989. Her clinical interests are wide, including women's health, HIV prevention, obesity prevention and treatment, health promotion, disease prevention, and human trafficking education.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She then studied at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where she received her Physician Assistant Studies degree. Jennifer also holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Houston.
She is a member of many professional medical associations, such as the American Academy of HIV Medicine, American Diabetes Association, and the Obesity Medicine Association, among others. Jennifer is certified in obesity medicine and HIV. She is also certified by the NCCPA. She is fluent in Spanish and Mandarin.
When Jennifer is not working, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and attending her local church. She is also involved in human trafficking outreach in Houston and educates healthcare providers about human trafficking at local, state, national, and international levels. Jennifer is married, has two adult daughters, and a pet Shih tzu. She is a native Houstonian.
